Regarded as the epitome of luxury and prestige within the Habanos portfolio as well as throughout the world of premium cigars, Cohiba now celebrates its 55th Anniversary as of 2021.
Born in 1966 as the brainchild of Fidel Castro and his trusty Eduardo Rivera, it was initially only gifted to heads of state. However, the brand has grown to become the leading flagship of Habanos that we know of today.
Its name “Cohiba”, which was suggested by Celia Sanchez, originates from the ancient inhabitants of Cuba, meaning: the roll of tobacco leaves when lit and smoked. A name that is absolutely fitting of this emblematic brand.
Since its creation, the strategic innovations planned to carry the brand throughout the years have sparked agricultural, industrial, marketing and distribution restructuring within the Habanos cigar production processes, which since then have spread and been additionally implemented across other brands. Thus, further instituting and commemorating the importance of the Cohiba brand for Habanos.
Housed at the iconic El Laguito Factory, the first to employ the highest percentage of female cigar rollers at that time, Cohiba is the brand that mostly reflects the delicate detailing and love of tobacco that flows a cigar.

Each cigar, exceptionally rolled with the finest tobacco leaves from the Vuelta Abajo region, is finished with the classic characteristic of the Cohiba line; the pigtail. Presented in boxes of 10 cigars, it features exceptionally selected tobacco and additional aging fitting for this Limited Edition release.
With a size of 150 mm x 57 ring gauge, and the “Victoria” vitola which is seen within Cohiba for the very first time, marks this release as a cigar that will captivate the interest and palette of aficionados.
